a good deck of low clouds and fog and in the north bay great our valley, napa, santa rosa and some of it moving across the bay so be careful, down to 44 in napa and 50 in livermore. we have clear conditions but we should look for fog along the east bay as well, along hayward and oakland. you can see the visibility is down to nothing at half moon bay and six miles at the san carlos airport. headed out this morning, look if clouds and dense fog in the valleys and along the coast and mid-60's to the upper 70's around the bay. a big warm-up today and the fog comes back tonight and we have a rainy weekend. >> good morning, everyone, we will check on our commute. >> good morning, everyone, happy friday, right now we have a live look outside at the tolls on the bay bridge. it looks like the follow is blanketing the area and traffic is moving through pretty well over there. the golden gate bridge shows fog cleared. now as we head over to menlo park we have an accident involving a couple of cars and deer unfortunately northbound 280. we do not see any slowing and it has been pushed to the r
of the rainshowers to the north of santa rosa and north and east of fairfield. this was a thunderstorm an hour and a half ago we'll go ahead and find the one cell you can pick out to the south of vallejo, shifting the maps, partly sunny skies. but more activity developing in the pacific. over the next hour, we'll take a look at this. this is moving at 25-30-miles an hour. on the time line, we could be tracking a few light showers approaching the pacificka area in 50 minutes. we'll be watching out for that. as far as rainfall totals, pretty impressive. santa rosa .83, san francisco, .44. satellite and radar, i'm watching this. we do have to hold off on the chance of a few scattered showers and thunderstorms for tonight. tomorrow spotty showers, but mostly dry, we cannot rule out the chance of a shower, it will be extended, cooler in the extended forecast, maybe a few more raindrops showing up first thing monday morning. not that cold out there. here is the overall weather pattern. area of low pressure out to our west moving onshore for tonight.

it is thickest in the north bay valleys, three quarters mile visibility in santa rosa down 101 to novato so, 12, 116, 29, all have fog this morning. headed to half moon bay we have thick fog along the coast. in the afternoon, though, the low clouds lit with mostly cloudy conditions because of the mid-level clouds ahead of the system. it is also bringing a bump up in temperatures and it will be mild from the coast to our inland neighborhoods. steady rain for the commute tomorrow and a chance of rain moves to the north saturday and sunday. it is a small chance but the north bay could get a sprinkle saturday and sunday. the cloud cover shows at 5:00 this morning, notice how it just sits until, say, 10:00, and we start to see it evaporate inland. stubborn around the bay by noon and the low clouds are gone back to the coast and by 3:00 that is when the high and mid-level clouds come in. the 60's and 70's and today is the warmest day in the forecast with low-to-mid 60's along the coast in san francisco and upper 60's to mid-70's around the bay from richmond at 68 to 73 at fremont and palo alto and lo

today. take a look. the high pressure showed up and gave us a 77 in antioch and 78 in santa rosa. highs tomorrow will come down 5 to 10 degrees in many locations. i mentioned the chance of showers, and there you go, the light sprinkles trying to work in offshore, and i think it will. not well organized but a wave of moisture sliding through the bay area in the next hour or so. the current temperatures, still warm. it's been a really warm day, and it's all changing around, and today, the warmest day of the week and the nicest day of the week as we go into the weekend with plenty of clouds and showers in the forecast as we go into your saturday night into sunday, and it's really overnight saturday into sunday, and scattered showers lingering heading into sunday as well. and the forecast model does this and 9:00 a.m. tomorrow morning and cloudy and it's warm, not cold, mild, and in the afternoon, by 5:00, we'll see the showers show up. so most of the day tomorrow, you can get stuff done, and then the showers show up, and overnight, here we are at 1:00 a.m. sunday morning, and here we are e

(applause) >> and i believe that those four students in greensboro also made the accomplishments that we he attribute to martin luther king as a symbol of the movement. martin luther king understood that many of the things that we attribute to him would not have been possible without the grassroots of the struggle. and that brings me back to the book that i've written about the last 50 years. when i was a teenager, a 19 year old, i went to the march on washington. and right before going, i met some of these young activists who are associated with the student nonviolent coordinating committee. i must say that that affected the way in which i viewed the march. like everyone else, i wanted to see what martin luther king's concluding speech would be. but i was also interested in the speech of john lewis who was the chair of the student nonviolent coordinating committee. just days before the march, i had met one of the snick activists at a conference. his name was stokely ca

. santa rosa.lis showers falling have just ende ended. all falling bloat radar beam. now let's talk about the severe weather in northern california and there was a report of funnel cloud 6:20 p.m. and this was in the vicinity of rancho, 2 tornado reports. 1 at 6:50 and it touched down near gerber as far as the impact unknown at this time. another one at 6:59 it was a rope tornado with some debris cloud in empty field and of course the tornado duration was about 2 minutes as you check out the rid arrest here you notice the severe thunderstorm that rolled through the area responsible for the tornado and the funnel cloud. does happen there every so often and thinks one of the times of years where it happen happens. bay area facing drizzle conditions total morning and more showers in the forecast. let you know if this is going to impact the weekend plans. >> thanks very much. see you shortly. >> oakland police chief admits tonight one of the officers shot an innocent person in the face last night. shooting happened at tenth and jefferson street. police respond to armed robbery.
